My educational journey began in medical school but culminated with George Washington University's Master in Business Administration program. The MBA melded my prior knowledge of medicine with business savvy that helped me further my career and prepared me for the challenging issues I would soon face on a daily basis.
It was when I accepted my first job with a multi-specialty medical practice that I became acutely aware I would need more than my knowledge as a physician to take full advantage of the many business opportunities available to me. I realized that my medical degree alone couldn't guarantee my success and I made the decision to thrive, not just survive, in this increasingly competitive market.
All in all, GW's online MBA program was the best career decision I have made to date. The program gave me exceptional value and I made back every dollar I had put into it within a few months. Finishing the online program at the top of both the online and on-campus classes taking place at that time, I was selected Valedictorian and received the Outstanding Achievement Award. I was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for business school graduates.
I am currently directing all of the administrative aspects of a budding hospital program and have been asked to consult with two other organizations that value my blend of medical and business expertise. I am grateful to GW for providing me with the solid foundation on which I am now building my future in the dynamic healthcare industry.
